| An association for all those concerned with mathematics education in primary schools, secondary schools, further education, special education, colleges, and universities, based in the U.K., that aims to support the teaching and learning of mathematics by encouraging increased understanding and enjoyment of mathematics. The ATM site provides Macromedia Flash films, animations for exploring polygons, halves, tangrams, tiles, and Euclid's Pythagoras proof. Other resources include an article about using the Slavonic abacus, Logo resources, help booklets to get you going with Logo, "My World" screens for RISC OS/Acorn and PC, past articles from MicroMath, some starting points for Key Stage 2 Investigative Work, and software from ATM such as some lessons in maths with a microcomputer (SLIMWAM). Also, information about events (meetings, conferences) and publications, such as MicroMath. | |
