Description: A program funded by the National Science Foundation to bring together mathematics faculty members from across the country to explore the question, "How can we prepare elementary school teachers to teach for the future rather than the past?" The purpose is to examine collectively how and what is taught, and to investigate appropriate responses to the challenges of mathematics education reform. Newsletter; handouts from presentations; reports from reunions; courses for teachers (see, in particular, their manipulative sessions); classroom activities for prospective teachers; related Web sites.
